Pankaj Singh of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur , will be visiting the RTG from 01. – 30. September 2019.
Pankaj Singh is currently a PhD student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, working in the philosophy discipline of the Humanities and Social Sciences Department. The topic of his PhD thesis is Problem-Solving and Situated Cognition: A Perspective from Philosophy of Mind. He connects the intuitions of 4E-cognition with the domain of human problem-solving in order to develop a positive theory of problem-solving that brings the agent-environment interaction to the foreground.
In September 2019, Pankaj will visit the RTG’s sub-project META4E in order to investigate the mechanistic perspective on 4E-cognition and the role of representations in novel accounts of problem-solving together with Matej Kohár and Beate Krickel.
